Metodologia Six Sigma
Following the mapping of the company situation in terms of organisation and processes, Innext outlines the target situation together with the management. Subsequently, they define a method and an action plan to bridge the gap between the current status and the optimal aituation.
Focus:
Six Sigma Method
What is it?
- This is a method that was initially designed to remedy defects and faults or for quality assurance purposes in many different areas, from the manufacturing sector to the provision of services and commercial activities
- It is based on a combination of statistical techniques for quality assurance and both simple and advanced analytical methods. It entails a systematic training of the staff involved at all organisational levels
- It has recently become very popular, as it has proved effective not only in qualitative terms but also in terms of costs, which were significantly reduced following quality improvements. For example, Motorola (a lead member of a business consortium that has developed the Six Sigma approach) reported a 11 billion dollars saving since the introduction of Six Sigma in their production sites 15 years ago
- The Sigma level attributed to a company shows to what extent it meets expectations of Clients, Shareholders and Employees: Critical to Client, Critical to Business, Critical to Employees. If a process performance achieves 6 Sigma, it means that only 3.4 out of 1,000,000 samples produced will be defective (not in compliance with specifications)
